Ecole Sir John Franklin High School Students take part
in on-line dialogue with former U.S. Ambassador

On March 9, 2005, a group of students from Ecole Sir John Franklin High School in Yellowknife took part in a live, on-line chat with the former U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Paul Cellucci. The students were joined by The Honorable Joseph Handley, the Premier of the Northwest Territories, and Naim Ahmed, the United States Consul General. Shortly before noon, the students grabbed slices of pizza and then logged on, and for the next hour they had the opportunity to ask the former Ambassador anything--and everything. And they asked him some tough questions, with topics ranging from missile defense and Arctic sovereignty to drilling in the ANWR and BSE. They even asked him about his visits to the North and his future plans. Below are some photos of the event; to read a transcript of the on-line chat, Click here.
