Consul General David Fetter |
||
Dave Fetter assumed the duties of Consul General, Quebec, in September 2007 - thus returning to live in the Province after a 37-year hiatus. Mr. Fetter joined the U.S. Department of State in 1986 and served tours in Washington, Chad, Somalia (twice), and Tunisia. After a one-year detail to the Lockheed Martin Corporation, he returned to assignments in Washington, Australia (where he worked on the Australia - U.S. Free Trade Agreement), and - most recently - Afghanistan. During the last of these he was the political advisor to two U.S. military brigades conducting counterinsurgency operations in ten eastern provinces of that nation. Mr. Fetter has a B.A. in government from the College of William and Mary. He is married and has two daughters. His interests include rugby, history, wine and cross-country skiing. He is determined to learn how to ice-skate. |
